Students, employers and CASB--working together to help students achieve competency in the modules and in the business world.
CASB students progress through a series of five core modules and one Uniform Evaluation (UFE) preparation module. The core modules each include eight weeks of facilitated online learning, a three-day face-to-face interactive session, and a one-day evaluation session. Module six is a two-week face-to-face session, specifically designed to help students prepare for the UFE.
CASB modules follow a competency-based learning model. You develop and apply the knowledge and skills you gain in research, analysis, problem solving, interpretation, forecasting, leadership, innovation, control and risk management, finance, performance measurement, taxation, information technology, and assurance--while simultaneously completing three years of paid work experience in a CA Training Office.
Students, employers and CASB work together to ensure students achieve proficiency in the competencies identified in The CA Candidates' Competency Map. Through the CASB program, students are exposed to the diverse challenges, issues and clients they will encounter in an ever-changing business environment. Joining Vision Windows Limited, a simulated business, students role-play, following a company from start-up to public offering, learning how to manage various stages of business growth and transition.
