Awards and Recognition

The Institutes of Chartered Accountants in Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, and British Columbia provided the initial funding to develop the CASB program.

CASB students and their employers financially support CASB's ongoing operations. Special support for CASB's continuing development work is also provided through grants and gifts from individuals and organizations.

Students from BC and Alberta are eligible for awards from their institute's CA Education Foundations.

Awards for CASB graduates

The Exemplary Young Professional Award, sponsored by Kouri Berezan Heinrichs, recognizes recent CASB graduates who exceed the expected qualities of a new Chartered Accountant.

Awards for UFE writers

Each year, the national Board of Evaluators names the top UFE writers to the national honour roll, and names a top writer for each region (Western Canada, Ontario, Quebec, Atlantic Canada).

The Kouri Berezan Heinrichs Outstanding Facilitator Award recognizes CASB facilitators who approach their role with excellence.
The George C. Baxter Award for Excellence in Learning Materials Development recognizes excellence in program development.
